Mr. Crippled Man

Back in May when Spencer and I (mom) came to Oxford to finalize the move, a young man who was very crippled was walking down the road in the heat of the day.  It was extremely hard for him to keep his balance due to his disability.  He was some distance away on the other side of the road and we had an appointment to make, but we commented to each other that our hearts hurt for him.  We talked about how thankful and blessed that God granted us a limbs in working order.

As we returned to the intersection from our appointment, mr crippled man was nowhere to be seen.......

Today,  2 ½ months later, as Spencer is talking on the phone with me during his lunch break --- "I have to call you back mom".

Details that followed:
Mr. crippled man was again walking down the road in the heat of the day.  Spencer pulled over and asked if he needed a ride.  "YES" I do.  "Where do you need to go?"  "I need a ride to the square" "Perfect, I will take you there"  "I have been in the hospital and I have nothing to eat -- do you think you could get me some groceries?"  "ABSOLUTELY!"

As Mr. crippled man gets out of the car, he is told that God (Holy Spirit) was the One who told me to help you, this is not from me.   "Thanks man".

The mr. crippled man had not had a bath in days, he was so frail and hot and stinky.  The smell that remained in my car for hours reminded me of the blessings that I have and God loves each one of us regardless of our circumstances, clothes or status.  Thank you Jesus for letting Spencer be Your hands and feet today!
